Barcelona, Spain

Studying abroad helped shape the way I think. While in high school, I participated in an exchange program to Burgos, Spain. I had a Spaniard live with me for a few weeks in the United States, and then I lived with him in Spain for a few more weeks later in the year. I had signed up for the exchange program because I have the travel bug from my parents, and loved to see and learn about new places. Once in Spain, I fell in love with speaking Spanish and learned what it is like to be a young adult in Spain. The Spanish culture was so patient with me learning a new language and people really wanted to help me in any way possible.

I continued to practice Spanish, and in the fall of 2016 returned to Spain for a semester abroad at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona! Check out both of my experiences below.
